We’ve been having rainy and chilly (no pun intended) weather here in Texas for the past few days. Chili just felt right, and this crockpot version hit the spot!
I followed this recipe exactly, except I subbed ground turkey for beef as I often do. I cooked on high for 3.5 hours, and it turned out amazing. Topped with avocado, cilantro, and a few jalapenos, it was comforting and delicious. It also freezes/heats up very well.
Chili is great because the majority of the ingredients are likely sitting in your pantry already. If not, stock up because it feeds many and the crockpot makes it so easy!

A quick note….
Beans. They are controversial. Individuals that struggle with Chron’s, IBS, and similar conditions would likely opt to skip the beans. For me, beans do not affect my A.S. and many say that beans have beneficial anti-inflammatory benefits for arthritis. Use at your use discretion.
